Brooks County Health Department is hosting a Parent Education Program about Understanding Today’s Youth Culture on Tuesday, November 15. Dinner will be provided to all registrants that attend.
Percy Chastang, MPH, with South Health District’s Office of Adolescent & School Health will be the guest speaker. This presentation will provide parents with tools and skills to address touchy and uncomfortable subjects involving puberty, teen sexuality, abstinence, and communication. Parents will learn age-appropriate and developmentally sound strategies for increasing awareness and understanding about the major pitfalls of adolescence and development in today’s youth culture.
The program will begin at 6 pm at Brooks County Health Department. Registration is required by calling Dana Watson at 263-7585 or emailing her at Dana.Watson@dph.ga.gov. Anyone not available for this program, but interested in receiving information on future programs, should also contact Watson with their preferred contact information.
